Catherine came to France in 2008, after working for the British Council in Japan and Singapore for 7 years. She started her French life in Paris, working in different grandes écoles and then left Paris with her family in 2014 in search of the sun.

After training business English to professionals in companies on the Riviera for couple of years, Catherine realised that nearly everyone she encountered had the same issues with their English communication: a lack of confidence and fluency, particularly for speaking up in meetings, making presentations and chatting to clients over lunch. She set up Aygen Training to offer solutions to these problems, and her company has been growing ever since.

Catherine has always had an entrepreneurial streak: she set up and ran the online side of her family’s Christmas goose business back in 2004, doubling the goose sales from the first year. She also ran an e-commerce business while living in Singapore, selling accessories from Asia in the UK to consumers and retailers.

When she’s not being a geek and trying out new tech tools for her business, she can be founding hiking with her three dogs, reading or enjoying an apéro with her family in Grasse.
